Honey Tangerine (Murcott Tangerine)

A family favorite, Honey Tangerines get their name from the amazingly sweet fruit. The exact origins of the fruit are not known, but tradition holds that they were originally planted by a man named Charles Murcott Smith in Bayview, Florida in the 1920's. In addition to being considered an excellent snack fruit, Murcott Tangerines have long been a mainstay of Florida Citrus juice. In addition to being the prime source for Tangerine Juice, Honey Tangerine juice is often mixed into Florida Orange Juice to add color and sweetness. Murcott Tangerines are only grown in Florida, and our mature trees offer some of Florida's Best Tangerines.
