Q. How many pieces of fruit are in a bushel?
A. The basic unit is a 1/4 bushel tray. There are approximately 10 pounds of fruit in each tray. The item count varies by variety and we use three middle size grades in our gift boxes. We can give you some "rule of thumb" parameters for each variety, but this is an inexact science. These are quantities for a 1/4 bushel.

Q. How long does shipping take?
A. We ship everything by UPS ground or DHL ground. Our groves are in the Tampa Bay area which is Zone 1. Orders are picked up each day about 5:00 PM. For the purpose of counting days, the first day is the day after it is picked up.
If you registered as a user on our web site, you will receive an e-mail on the day it was shipped with a tracking number. For example, Atlanta area is 2 days, Washington D.C. is 3 days, New York City is 4 days and New England is 5 days. The only areas requiring more than 5 working days are the Inner Mountain West and the West Coast, which can be 6 or 7 days.

Q. How long does the fruit last?
A. Again, this varies by maturity and shipping time in transit. The most important advice we can give you is "Remove if from the box it was shipped in and refrigerate it IMMEDIATELY". If fruit is properly handled it will last for several weeks.
