As a variety of Mandarin orange, Florida Tangerines are on average smaller than most oranges, but maintain both the flavor and appearance of a common Florida orange, with one exception – they are typically less tart than their larger counterparts.
It is believed that tangerines were introduced to Melrose, Florida (just a short drive northeast of Cee Bee's groves) in the late 1800s by a missionary who had recently returned from China. By the early 1900s, Florida tangerines were recognized as an important part of Florida agriculture, and have continued as such to this day.

Sunburst Tangerines
Named for their twelve segments rich in a deep orange hue which resemble the sun, sunburst tangerines possess a high sugar content as well as high acidity compared to other tangerines. Their hearty skin makes them a great choice for a snack on the go, and of course, like all Cee Bee's products, they're delicious!

Honey Tangerines
Also known as Murcotts, honey tangerines are named for their outstanding sweetness. They have a higher sugar content than any other tangerine, and most oranges for that matter. While they make a tasty mid-day snack, honey tangerines are also great for cooking. Their high sugar content makes them a natural choice for pies, cakes, salad dressings, and stir-frys.

Monarch Tangerines
So called because they were once grown and reserved exclusively for the King of Morocco, monarch tangerines are now available to everyone! It's a good thing too, because they are outstanding. Not only are they sweet and tart, but they incredibly easy to eat. Cee Bee's Citrus is the only place you'll find this royal variety!
